The Push Stars were here at our picnic because I (Mary Bloch) won a contest for a private show! Although I've seen them perform many times, it was my first time hearing them play acoustically in a live setting, and to say I was thrilled is an understatement. The three guys who are the Push Stars--Chris Trapper (lead singer and songwriter), Ryan MacMillan (creative percussionist) and Dan McLoughlin (usually plays bass and keyboards, but strummed rhythm for us) said they had a great time. And they sounded great! They played and sang wonderful versions of Any Little Town, Everything Shines, Drunk is Better than Dead, Too Much Pride (with Ryan singing lead) and Meet Me at the Fair. Ryan's water jug solo on the last song, Minnesota, was simply inspired. We really enjoyed this very special performance. Thanks, Push Stars!
